FlightSafety, a Broken Arrow manufacturing company requested that land on the Southwest corner of 71st and Lynn Lane, where water towers currently sit, be rezoned to light industrial.
Broken Arrow Planning Board has approved the request, however, the City Council will consider the request on December 15, 2009
FlightSafety, owned by Berkshire Hathaway of New York , manufactures flight-simulation machines for commercial and military airlines. Currently, they are located at 2700 N. Hemlock Circle and employ 687 people. They plan to build a new facility and increase their employees to 1000.
BA residents are concerned about noise, traffic, childrens safety, and how the property would be financed.
