Will Tulsa be hit with Foreclosure Crisis?

This Phoenix, AZ home is in foreclosure like thousand of others. Many areas of the country which saw double digit gains in real estate values are now experiencing a crisis of foreclosures due to a credit crunch from over zealous lending practices and out of control speculating. Tulsa, Oklahoma has not seen this happen in our market and it is not a new phenomenon for Green Country to be counter-cyclical to the rest of the United States.

Tulsa has generally enjoyed a stable real estate housing market. While investors rarely see large gains in short periods, they are rarely faced with sharp declines. Many buyers from these more volatile markets have sought refuge in the Tulsa, Oklahoma housing market by either cashing out and relocating or simply hedging their investments and including Tulsa real estate in their portfolio.
Many commercial real estate developers have had an eye on Tulsa, too since Tulsa has ranked high on several "best" lists for quality of living, cost of housing, and emerging market surveys.
